WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO

Based in Kingston-Upon-Thames, Surrey, Barnfield is one of the most established RDA groups in the country, having been founded in 1987. Over the years, we've helped hundreds of children and adults to experience the therapeutic benefits of horse riding.

Working in association with the wonderful Barnfield Riding School, we share facilities, horses and ponies. If you'd like to find out about riding with us, volunteering, or helping us raise vital funds, please get in touch.

All of our staff are qualified BHS instructors and are DBS checked, child safeguarding and first aid trained. Our volunteers are fully trained and DBS checked as well. Our centre is located next to Richmond Park and Ham Woods and benefits from numerous specially designed facilities to enhance and support our riders. We pride ourselves in ensuring the facilities are maintained to provide a safe, controlled, brightly lit, healthy environment which contributes to creating confidence for those using our services.

Our horses and ponies suitable for riders of different sizes and levels of ability. They live in our indoor barn which, in addition to providing comfort for the ponies, is an ideal location for people to visit them, regardless of the weather.

We have good quality, specialised horse riding tack, for the safety and comfort of the animals and their riders. We check it on a daily basis. We have a large mounting block and electronic mounting ramp. We have a variety of toys and equipment for use during sessions, to help to make learning fun.

You can visit us seven days a week, and riding tuition is available from Tuesday to Sunday. Parking is available.
